La Sala is the preferred choice for football teams during training camps in Marbella.
The English Football Club Middlesbrough were spotted dining at La Sala Banus last Friday 19th February after almost a weeklong training camp in Marbella.
Aitor Karanka and his 23-man squad jetted off from Leeds Bradford Airport for a week of warm weather training on the sunny coast. For the team dinner, the footballers opted for the celebrity hot spot La Sala, Puerto Banús. Besides dining, they enjoyed the amazing Friday Night Jukebox with the Jackie Brown Band. The head coach Karanka explained that Boro’s trip to Spain was more about team bonding than it was working on the training pitch.
“I was thinking of going to Spain because sometimes it’s difficult to work here when it’s raining or windy,” said Karanka. “I told the players when we arrived there that the trip was more than just working on the pitch. It was about being together in the hotel, to spend a few hours together. We’ve had a few changes last month and I think it was good for us.”
Middlesbrough is not the only football club that chose La Sala for a relaxing night out during their winter training camp in Marbella. The Swiss Football Club Basel 1893, widely known as FC Basel or just Basel, were also spotted enjoying La Sala last month.
