The incredibly unique ‘Supper Theatre’ event is set to return at La Sala Puerto Banus.
On Tuesday 29th November, local production company ‘Curtain Up Productions’ are set to return to perform their play, “84 Charing Cross Rd.” in the Live Lounge at La Sala Puerto Banús.
This beautiful play will star Veronica del Cerro, Miles Rendle, Andrew Gommersall and June Rendle, who is also Director.
The evening will start at 7pm and is priced at just 40€ per person and includes a welcome glass of cava, sharing platter, main course and water per person.
This is a true story of an unlikely friendship which developed by post, between a brash New Yorker and a retiring English bookseller between the years of 1949-1969.
The story mirrors the social changes that occurred during the time, in 1949 British food was still rationed, and foreign travel was very limited. To make a personal phone call to another continent was almost impossible.
It is a play full of enchantment and charm, funny, poignant, warm, and compassionate. It has since been turned into a highly successful film starring Anthony Hopkins and Anne Bancroft, which is currently available on Netflix.
