“Tees the season to be golfing” with Sala Golf at Finca Cortesin!
Last Saturday saw the Sala Golf 2021 season draw to a close, with the La Sala Golfers delighted to be playing at the highly prestigious Finca Cortesin Golf Course in Estepona.
Tensions were high with some nervous golfers at the top of the leaderboard, all eager to put in a good score and push their team to victory. However, Finca Cortesin was not giving them an easy ride as the greens were running away quicker than marble floors!
Always welcomed with a familiar face and smile, the teams were greeted by International Marbella as always on the idyllic 10th tee, always there to entertain, this time they were challenged to a chipping competition into the christmas bucket which was great fun! A huge shout out is well deserved for Tine Haigemeister, Laura Peters, and all of Santa’s Helpers from International Marbella for the huge effort they put into each and every event.
After the challenging 18 holes at Finca Cortesin, the golfers retreated back to La Sala Puerto Banus to enjoy a delicious 2-course Christmas Party lunch with all the trimmings accompanied by free flowing wine to calm any nerves as they eagerly waited for the end of season prize giving to commence.
Before the results could be revealed, the winners of the day needed to be announced.
