The famed celebrity haunt La Sala Restaurant & Bar in Puerto Banus closed its doors last month for one week to complete an incredible never-seen-before transformation to bring you an even better ultimate social and dining experience. Behind this major refurbishment was none other than the amazing FOC Design team, who also designed La Sala Gibraltar and the successful OAK Garden & Grill restaurant that opened its doors earlier this year.
To relaunch the new look, La Sala Banus held two amazing VIP parties on the 5th and 7th December, with the attendance of the best referee of the world, Mark Clattenburg, as well as the members of Marbella Town Hall, such as Javier Porcuna and Manuel Osorio to name a few. Besides La Sala’s signature canapés and drinks, the guests enjoyed excellent live entertainment by the Masquerade Duo, Jackie Brown Band, Menzillon Drum Duo as well as the famed Planeta 80 from Cordoba.
The complicated refurb project was all about refreshing – but not losing – the current vibe, and also about adding extra seating, while maintaining the airy and glamorous feel of the venue. Keeping the signature ‘modern but chic’ aesthetic associated with La Sala, FOC Design has introduced a smoky and sexy colour palette inspired by a textured flamingo wallpaper with grey, charcoal and smoky gold colours.
The Piano Room is where the biggest transformation took place, not only because of the extended seating area and a brand new stage, but the whole look and feel of this exclusive area that is now called the Live Lounge. Some of the added details include stunning chandeliers, new curved booths in camel velvet, surrounded by a matte gold chain curtain lit from above, creating a real wow factor when clients enter.
The bigger stage was completed with a nature wall backdrop and fairy lights to frame some of the best entertainment acts on the Costa del Sol.
Due to the high levels of rain it was impossible to carry out all the refurbishment plans in one week, so the brand new outdoor area of La Sala will be completed by the 16th of December, just in time for Christmas!
The exterior will change dramatically, with new teak coloured decking, retractable pergolas to provide shade on those famous Andalusian summer days and fairy lights wrapped round the palm trees for ambient evening lighting, while you dine and dance.
