What a fantastic day of competitive golf at Mijas Golf Club last month.
Taking place on Saturday 16th April, the golfers received a warm welcome from the Sala Golf Team as they were provided with sandwiches and Sala Golf merchandise before making their way off to the tees for a shotgun start.
Our proud sponsors were there, with Vinomarket providing the finest quality wines for the Individual and Team prizes and not forgetting the prizes for the on the course challenges.

Sala Golfers made their way back to La Sala Puerto Banus after a great day of golf, for free flowing food and drink, before the prize giving.
First to be announced was the on course challenges.
On the 2nd was the closest to the pin on a Par 3, was Pelayo Gomez Pica, taking home a magnum of wine sponsored by Vinomarket.
The 3rd hole saw the closest to the pin approach shot on a Par 4 was won by Jonathan Hawtin who also picked up a magnum of wine sponsored by Vinomarket.
The 13th is where we found the longest drive competition, with Brian Martin smashing it down the fairway in order to claim his magnum of wine sponsored by Vinomarket.
The Ladies longest drive was also seen on hole 13th and won by Svetlana Kripayrite, winning her magnum of wine sponsored by Vinomarket.
Next was the Individual prizes.
The Individual Runner Up on the day was Jonathan Hawtin with 40 points overall. 1st place was Terry Greensladed, scoring an impressive 43 points around the challenging course. Both took away La Sala vouchers and wine sponsored by Vinomarket.
Next to be announced was the team prizes.
In 3rd place was team Real Guadalminos, with an overall score of 85 for the team.
In 2nd place was Reckless Drivers, scoring 85 points overall just beating Real Guadalminos on a countback. The winning team on the day was team Par-Tee! Led by Pascale Hall to victory and scoring a huge 86 points on the day.
Congratulations to all of our winners!
Of course we could not forget the Wooden Spoon trophy, which was taken by John Cooper with 17 points overall. We are sure John will be back next month to redeem himself!
After the prize giving, golfers bid against each other for some great prizes in the charity auction to raise funds for the Elena Gaite Foundation.
