Festive Fun on the course to celebrate the final Sala Golf event of the year!
The Sala Golf 2022 season ended on a high with the final event of the year taking place at the prestigious Real Club de Golf Las Brisas on Saturday 17th December.
The golfers were welcomed by the Sala Golf Team with freshly made sandwiches and plenty of Christmas spirit to mark the end of season occasion. On the course, our terrific sponsors International Marbella set up their final Gin & Tonic bar for the year, as they presented golfers with their delicious homemade sausage rolls, plenty of drink, and festive fun as they competed in the one-off Christmas chipping competition.
Golfers made their way back to La Sala Puerto Banus for the prize giving where they enjoyed a spectacular 2 course Christmas Lunch accompanied by free-flowing wine and an incredibly festive atmosphere.
The Individual Runner up on the day was Oliver East, scoring a very impressive 39 points around a notoriously difficult Las Brisas course.
The Individual Winner of the day was Marianne Agger Staunskaer, with an incredible score of 44 points overall.
For the team prizes, in 3rd place was La Sala 1, with Sala Group Chairman Ian Radford, leading his team to an impressive overall team score of 82 points.
Keeping it in the family, in 2nd place was La Sala 2, with Sala Group Operations Director, Rodolphe Combes leading his team to score 82 points overall, just beating La Sala 1 on a countback.
And winning the Las Brisas Sala Golf tournament was Three Guys and a Doll, with a hugely impressive 85 points overall.
As this was the final event of the year, the overall league winners were also announced, for consistently scoring well over the course of 2022.
The Individual Runner Up for 2022 was Marianne Agger Staunskaer, winning a pair of Ecco golf shoes.
The Individual Winner for 2022 was Oliver East, who showcased some fantastic scores over the year with a drive to consistently improve his game. Oliver won a range finder as well as the fantastic Sala Golf trophy for his own personal display at home.
The 3rd place team for Sala Golf 2022 was Real Guadalminos. Sala Golf regulars and always a great laugh, Real Guadalminos had an overall score of 433 from their 5 best rounds over the year. They just beat The Baltics on a countback, so congratulations to The Baltics as well. Real Guadalminos took home a 4 ball at Los Flamingos, as well as trophies and other prizes.
In 2nd place for the overall Team League prizes was Par-Tee, the all ladies team who played incredibly well over the course of the season, scoring 439 points overall from their top 5.

The winning team for Sala Golf 2022 was Team Toys, led to victory by Captain Steve Richardson, a long serving Sala Golfer. We were delighted to award Team Toys with the winning prize for 2022.

Registrations for the Sala Golf Super League 2023 are now open with our first event taking place on Saturday 21st January!
Sala Golf Super League plays 10 of the most exclusive golf courses on the coast, once every month excluding the hotter summer months of July and August. These one of a kind, golf events are a fantastic opportunity to socialise, network, and play some fun competitive golf, whilst raising awareness and support for the local charities that make up The Elena Gaite Foundation.
