The Blues First Team squad and staff have flown over to Spain for a short training break. Based at the Marbella Football Centre for four days the team will be staying on the sunny coast until tomorrow.
It’s not the first time Birmingham City FC came to train in Spain. The team has previously visited Marbella for pre-season training due to its excellent footballing facilities. The trip has been combined with the Club’s 2016 Annual Golf Event. “We’re training Sunday evening, Monday morning and Tuesday morning and we might even train Wednesday morning before we leave,” said boss Gary Rowett. Besides warm weather training the team enjoyed a night out in the celebrity hotspot La Sala Banus yesterday 21st of March.
Birmingham City FC is not the only football club that chose La Sala for a relaxing night out during their winter training camp in Marbella. Middlesbrough and The Swiss Football Club Basel 1893, were also spotted enjoying La Sala during the previous months.
